You know those moments where you may look kinda strange to some people because you just laugh for no reason at all? And out of that sort of silent laughter comes an authentic smile? Try to inherit an awareness to feel that way every moment of your life. Know that throughout your day you can connect your mind with the divine mind at any moment.
Widespread Panic - “Hope in a Hopeless World” (HD) (by ClearValleyFrost)
Baby born in New York City
Wrapped in a blanket all tattered and worn
Mama’s doin’ the best she can
It takes hope in a hopeless world
Her eldest son, he stayed in school
Listened to his mother, he never drank or used
But every job he wants he gets refused
It takes hope in a hopeless world
Looking for hope in a hopeless world
Trying to find love in these hateful times
Try to stay strong but my mind is weak
Looking for hope in a hopeless world
Churches are full, but the prayers are not heard
Saturday’s child don’t wanna to go to Sunday school
Whatever happened to the golden rule
It takes hope in a hopeless world
D’you got a quarter for the homeless man
Spare some change for the soldiers who fought the war
Put a little money in those hats and those tins
Give them hope in a hopeless world
Looking for hope in a hopeless world
Searchin’ for love in these hateful times
Try to stay strong but my mind is weak
Ease my mind, ease my mind
And on the corner there stands a young girl
The home she left was in the better part of town
Daddy did things she never talked about
It takes hope in a hopeless world
Somebody out there gotta listen
Somebody out there got to know what Pops been talkin’ about
Raise your hand, raise your hands if you’re with me
Give us hope in a hopeless world
You’ve got to listen to the voice inside
Peace and love don’t compromise - realize
Time is passing by
Can’t be standing still!
~Widespread Panic ‘Hope in a Hopeless World’
LOVE that song!

Losing weight won’t make you happy.
But you know what will? Discovering that one of your true passions in life is dancing. Realizing that all that stress you carried around with you day after day dissolved that one afternoon you stepped into a yoga class and decided to start practicing. Running a five mile mountain trail as the sun dips behind the horizon, dusting you in gold as the endorphins surge through your body. Eating fresh watermelons and drinking ice cold water. Learning how to cook good, nutritious foods that you love and that give you energy and replenish you day after day.
Losing weight won’t make you happy.
Being healthy will.

Everything in this world that you
thought was good
is
really bad.
And everything you though
was bad is really
good.
Don’t get it twisted!
I bet you that drunk that
you see sleeping on the bench
everyday
has God more figured out
than the rich investment banker
who
thinks
that he has everything going for him.
For the hobo is down on his
knees
and has real reason
(beyond that of his ego)
to reach for God. Has real reason
to knocketh and asketh.
His position in life
has given him a hunger & thirst
that is pure in heart.
And most importantly
his devotion
comes from within thy closet.
Here’s the thing about the banker, ya see. He
may feel that he’s in touch
with God (or his idolized American Dream God)
He may even
express
it.
It’s usually, however, in front
of the masses when he expresses it. Maybe
at some place of
worship or at the dinner table.
It’s just an act for him and
he’s usually out to
accomplish, what’s seen in his eyes at least,
more important
things
in
life.
Things that have, in reality,
BLINDED
his quest for greatness!
But he has no real reason to
reach. No real reason to thirst
and hunger after righteousness. He
thinks that
he’s alright and that his status
and acquisitions and the fact that
he’s accepted and highly looked upon
by society
somehow
makes
him a great person.
Verily I tell you, that that
man
walks away
feeling justified rather than truly blessed.
